- On February 6th, 1792, after the 3 publications of banns according to the norms of the Catholic Church, with no impediments having been discovered and the mutual consent of the spouses, I the undersigned vicar united in holy matrimony Velten Deiss, aged about 23 years, of-age son of Adam Deiss, formerly a farmer, and Margaretha Huber, deceased married couple from Bundenthal; and Barbara Schlick, aged about 18 years, of-age daughter of Frantz Schlick, farmer, and Magdalena Leidner, married couple in Bundenthal. The witnesses were the father of the bride; Michael Deiss, citizen and farmer here, of the 3rd degree of consanguinity with the groom; Johann Michael Martin, schoolmaster here; and Johann Adam Wegmann, citizen and farmer here, guardian of the groom. They have all signed below with me except for the last, who, having been duly informed by me, declared that he did not know how to write.

A couple notes:
- The groom's name in Latin is given as Valentinus, but when he signed, he spelled his name "Valdin." It seems to be a variant of the vernacular German Velten, which is itself a dialectical variant of the name Valentin.
- It seems that the witness Michael Martin forgot to sign (though you can see his signature in the record above, which he also witnessed).
- The 3rd degree of consanguinity note almost certainly means that Michael was Velten's paternal uncle.
