• Notes

  Janet Berry noted that he probably immigrated to the US in 1891 or 1892. The 1900 census says he emigrated to USA in 1892. His wife and children arrived in 1893. Janet Berry noted that Andrew died from a quarry accident but this did not occur. Andrew died from Mitral Regurgitation caused by Chronic Colitis per his Death Certificate. The Death Certificate was verified based on the following factors: 1)Andrew's parents names are similar to what was found on Poznan wedding certificate; 2) burial location - St. Mary Cemetery was formally known as Catholic Cemetery Carlisle & 3) A Bittner who is listed as the witness lived on the same street as Andrew per the census documentation. The family lived on 1000 block of Cleveland Street. He is buried at an unmarked grave at St. Mary's Cemetery in Grafton, Ohio. Pat Weir, caretaker, of St Mary’s Cemetery informed me that he is buried in Section 2 Row E next to Joseph and Florence Filipiak.
