Loving father of Karen Riddles (Michael), Nancy Rymarczyk (Thomas), and James Perchinske (Danielle). Loving grandfather of Jordan Riddles and Hannah, Madison, Jacob, and Emma Perchinske; dear brother of Thomas and uncle and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Sophie (nee Smith) and his siblings: Edward, Agnes, Francis, Mary Ann, Jerome, Regina, Lucille, Jack, Walter, and Margaret. James was hard-working, a wonderful provider for his family and enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. VISITATION WEDNESDAY 4-8PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. Funeral Mass THURSDAY 10AM at St. Joseph Church, 12700 Pearl Rd., Strongsville 44136. Interment Strongsville Cemetery. Pijaczynski Spelling Transition

The Pijzaczynski family name changed many times over the years. In Polish records, Andrew’s surname appeared as Peczynski. He had six children in Poland and five in the United States. After immigrating, his last name varied on documents such as census records, deeds, and death certificates, before his children in the U.S. eventually adopted the name Perchinske. Rumor had it that teachers could not spell the name correctly and eventually his children became Perchinske.
