Born 7 Jul 1859, Pennsylvania. Marr Adam LULAY 21 May 1882. Excerpts from a letter from Bernadette Lulay, Great Gran daughter of Sabina:"They were married May 21, 1882 probably in Nicktown. The y came to Sublimity Oregon in about 1906-1907. This was a t the prompting of their 2 daughters, Maggie (Frank) and Rose (Breitenstein) who were married and had moved to Sublim ty already. Adam was a coal miner in PA, for 6 or 7 days he never saw the sun. Going down before dawn and going hom e after dark. Their first Oregon home was a rented farm nea r Stayton. My randfather, Aloyius, lived with his sister Maggie so he could attend school in town.
Later when Al was married they lived in a logging camp. This was Lulay Bros. Lumber Co. Adam and Sabina lived in town but Adam was a regular fixture in the camp.
My dad said he was a very gentle and good-natured man. Sabina was a teaser and very jovial. She was strict, but very m uch fun to be around. Adam died of heart failure, he had a heart attack Christmas Eve. My dad remembers being there. It was even harder years later for my dad when his dad A l was killed in a car wreck Christmas Eve.
My dad was in the Service when his grandma Sabina died. Very hard on him as he was close to her. They are both buried in Sublimity, St. Boniface Catholic Church.". Died 2 Jul 1945, Sublimity, Marion, Oregon.
